Betty Holley, 87, of St. Louis, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at The Fountains in Ellisville, Mo. She was born Aug. 10, 1926, daughter of Charles F. and Clara Milde Steck. She and William Dickey "Dick" Holley were married June 26, 1949. He died Feb 18, 2002...

Betty Holley, 87, of St. Louis, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at The Fountains in Ellisville, Mo.

She was born Aug. 10, 1926, daughter of Charles F. and Clara Milde Steck. She and William Dickey "Dick" Holley were married June 26, 1949. He died Feb 18, 2002.

Betty was a member of Bonhomme Presbyterian Church in Chesterfield and a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. She retired from the Jackson School District after many years of teaching.

Loving survivors include a niece, Elizabeth (Doug) Hileman of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, James Steck of Wichita, Kan., and Phil Eydmann of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; very special friends Maxine and Bud Naumann of Wentzville, Mo., and Almira Cox of Chesterfield, Mo.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Claire "Jane" Holley; two brothers, Milde and Charles W. Steck; and a sister, Lucille Eydmann.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bonhomme Presbyterian Church in Ellisville or First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
