ANNA, Ill. -- Betty Holcomb, 75, of Anna died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at City Care Center.
She was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Cairo, daughter of Lynn and Madge Cassel Karraker. She and Howard Holcomb were married Jan. 17, 1948. He died Aug. 21, 1992.
Holcomb had owned Holcomb Welding and Machine Works. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Babette Holcomb of Cobden; a son, Kevin Holcomb of Cobden; a brother, Ron Karraker of Kansas City, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Tom Miller will officiate. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery at Dongola.
