Funeral for Betty T. Henderson of Cape Girardeau will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home. The Rev. James Sanderson will officiate. Burial will be in Bismarck IOOF Cemetery at Bismarck, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.

Henderson, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 29, 1918, at Scott City, Mo., daughter of O.O. and Kresenz Johnson Taylor. She and Harold W. Henderson were married Aug. 28, 1938, at Flat River, Mo.

Henderson attended Bonne Terre, Mo., public schools and was a 1954 graduate of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro.

She taught 12 years at St. Pius Schools in Moberly, Mo., and also taught at Puxico Elementary School in Puxico, Mo.

Henderson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, active in United Methodist Conference children's work many years, was a lay speaker and had been a volunteer at Missouri Veterans Home.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bill Henderson of Concord, N.H., Dr. George Henderson of Fallon, Nev.; two daughters, Kay Cloyes of Morton, Ill., Elizabeth Edwards of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, O.W. Taylor of Farmington, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
