Betty J. Hager, 69, 120 S. Forester, died Wednesday, March 25, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Bern and Alice Allison Aufdenberg. She and Harlan P. "Bud" Hager were married Sept. 8, 1946, in Springfield.
The Hagers operated a dairy farm 49 years. She also had been a division manager at Sears 17 years and then worked at Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau nine years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven Hager of Ellisville, Phil Hager of Jackson; a daughter, Jean Thoma of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
