Betty Ann Farrow, 79, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Monticello House in Jackson. She had been a resident of various local nursing homes since 1996.

She was born April 14, 1929, in St. Louis to Joseph W. "Joe" and Charlotte Dahill Masterson. She attended Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Betty and Eldo L. Farrow were married June 22, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. They moved to Jackson in 1949 and Betty worked at the former Litz Poultry Plant and Bollinger Poultry Plant, both in Jackson.

In addition to spending time with her family, Betty enjoyed canning and gardening.

Loving survivors include her husband of 61 years, Eldo of the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Charlotte (John) Peters of Marble Hill, Mo., Carol Ann (Roger) Tripp of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Lloyd (Inez) Masterson of Jackson; four grandchildren, Michael L. Welker, Amy Kasten, Lisa Statler and Johnny L. Peters; and six great-grandchildren, Drue Welker, Caleb and Kelsey Kasten, Kathlyn and Kristin Statler and Dylan Snell.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Masterson Jr., in 1989; and an infant sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
