Betty Cato
Betty Eleanor Cato, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 28, 1925, near Advance, Mo., daughter of Howard and Minnie Croy. She was married to Ale C. Cato on June 10, 1946.
Mrs. Cato was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church. She remained active in and served as president of American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Missouri and past president and board member of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include her husband, Ale Cato of Cape Girardeau; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Tommy Horton of Dexter, Mo., Sandra Cato of Cape Girardeau, Janet and Lee Cornelius of Perryville, Mo., Amy and Greg Reynolds of McClure, Ill.; a sister, Clara Walker, formerly of Oxford, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Evan and Rex Croy; two sisters, Pauline Kight and Jewel Reimler; and a great-granddaughter; Lillian Holden.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
