Betty Lou Brucker, 86, of Delta passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.
She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Gordonville to the late Jess and Ida Gerecke Quade. She married Lawrence Ambrose Brucker on Aug. 27, 1949, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri, and he preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2015.
Betty was a retired presser at Thorngate Ltd.,in Chaffee.
She was baptized April 26, 1931, at Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville; her confirmation was April 18, 1943, at Christ Lutheran Church. Betty later converted to the Catholic faith at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Dutchtown. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Scheffer of Gordonville, Nancy (David) Hester of Delta and Mary Pruitt of Delta; a sister, Ruby Cook of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Jessie Quade of St. Clair, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tammy Livingston of Jackson, Chris (Lisa) Scheffer of Gordonville, Nicole Scheffer of Gordonville, Myra (Eric) Schwartz of Rockview, Missouri, Amanda (Adam) Farmer of Tilsit and Robert (Kim) Pruitt of Jackson; and 12 great-grandchildren, Cody, Jordan and Grady Livingston, Dyllan and Colton Scheffer, Hailey, Caleb and Chloe Farmer, Josie, Alexander and Corbin Schwartz and Ally Pruitt.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters, Irene Clingingsmith, Clara Cracraft, Clarence Quade, Jesse Hanschen, Lorene Quade, Curtis Quade, Clyde Quade and Patsy Morgan; a son-in-law, Scott Pruitt; a grandchild, Ghia Hester; and a great-grandchild, Aaliey Schwartz.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic School.
