Betty Keirce Brockett, 64, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, June 15, 2013.
She was born Jan. 4, 1949, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Robert and Dorothy McChristian. She and John Keirce were married June 7, 1969. He died in 1997. Betty was married to Gene Brockett from 1999 to 2009.
Betty graduated from Cairo High School in 1965. She received a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She taught mathematics at Scott City Junior High from 1969 to 1970. She then taught math and yearbook at Delta High School from 1970 until she retired in 2000.
Betty was an active member of Mount Auburn Christian Church and the Share and Care Sunday school class.
Survivors include two sisters, Meredith Wagner and Mary Bumpus, of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Robert (Barbara) McChristian of Marion, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.
Memorials may be made to Mount Auburn Christian Church or Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
