Funeral service for Verba "Betty" Bolden of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David V. Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5:30-9 p.m. today.
Bolden, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born June 6, 1921, at McMullin, daughter of Tobe and Luetta Butrum Davenport. She and Charles H. Bolden Jr. were married Dec. 2, 1938, at Charleston. He died Dec. 21, 1957.
Bolden was a 1966 graduate of Sikeston Public Schools School of Nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse at St. Francis Medical Center 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles Phil Bolden of Lincoln, Neb.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
