BERNIE -- Bessie Octavia Williamson, 85, of Bernie died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born July 6, 1914, at Marble Hill, daughter of Freeman and Hanna Rush Durham. She and William W. Williamson were married Sept. 26, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He died Dec. 18, 1973...

BERNIE -- Bessie Octavia Williamson, 85, of Bernie died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born July 6, 1914, at Marble Hill, daughter of Freeman and Hanna Rush Durham. She and William W. Williamson were married Sept. 26, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He died Dec. 18, 1973.

Williamson attended Bernie General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Durham of Geneva, Ill., James Williamson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two daughters, Mary Willcutt and Bessie Suttles of Malden; a sister, Tina Thomason of Malden; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lester Dale officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
