Bessie Viola Ruebel, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born April 28, 1921, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Dallis Edward and Eula Mae Lape Moore. She and Melvin Edwin Ruebel were married Aug. 27, 1941. He died Nov. 27, 1994.
Ruebel was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Melvin Ruebel Jr. and Kevin Ruebel of Ocean Springs, Miss., Lee Ruebel of Cape Girardeau, Rodger Ruebel of Navarre, Fla.; four daughters, Patricia Alexander and Sandy Abernathy of Boise, Idaho, Phillis McLain of Cape Girardeau, Debra Hudson of St. Louis; three brothers, Earlis Moore of Perry, Kan., Leroy Moore of Millersville, Ervin Moore of Oak Ridge; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Caney Fork Cemetery.
