BESSIE REVELLE

JACKSON -- Bessie Viola Revelle, 91, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at her home.

She was born Feb. 2, 1907, at Patton, daughter of Jasper and Matilda Tinnin Smith. She and Lawrence Revelle were married Jan. 12, 1938. He died Jan. 8, 1978.

Revelle is a member of Old Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Patton, attended Cornwall Assembly of God Church and was a member of Cornwall Ladies Quilting Circle.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde Revelle of Patton, Carl Revelle of Jackson; two daughters, Carol Snead of Burfordville, Claudine Hess of Jackson; a brother, William Smith of Patton; two sisters, Mary Bollinger of Jackson, Irene Yamnitz of Patton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alfred Berry officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery at Patton.
