PERRYVILLE -- Bessie Irene Kelley, 86, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 29, 1913, at Perryville, daughter of Daniel and Birdie Pullum Rhyne. She and William "Bill" Kelley were married April 5, 1933. He died March 23, 1986.
Kelley had been a seam presser at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and taught Sunday School more than 50 years.
Survivors include a brother, Melvin Rhyne of Perryville; two sisters, Elizabeth Baylor of Gordonville, Anna Rowe of House Springs; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three daughters, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Church. The Rev. Aaron Jeffries will officiate. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
