BLOOMFIELD -- Bessie Jarrell, 88, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994, at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
She was born Oct. 22, 1906, at Bloomfield, daughter of Jonas and Victoria E. Griggs Hopkins. She and Lige Jarrell were married July 26, 1924. He died May 14, 1976.
Jarrell was a member of Lick Creek Church near here.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Carl Jarrell of Dexter; three daughters, Frances Carr and Faye Strouts of Watervliet, Mich., Ruth Ricketts of Walhalla, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerrold Lake officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery near Bloomfield.
