BESSIE HARRISON

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Bessie Lorene Harrison of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Dr. Jim Guffie will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.

Harrison, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 31, 1917, in Columbus, Ky., daughter of William D. and Mamie Oleta Coker Moore. She and A.A. "Lonnie" Harrison were married July 21, 1971. He died Aug. 12, 1982.

Harrison formerly owned and operated Sav-Way Cafe in Miner and K.C. Cafe in Sikeston. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, J.D. Moore of Sikeston; five sisters, Iris Barnhart of Lebanon, Doris Lett of Sikeston, Wilma Oliver of Memphis, Tenn., Martha Foster of Vanduser, and Margaret Roberts of Shelly, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
