BROWNWOOD -- Funeral service for Mrs. Bertie Z. Edwards of Brownwood will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Tony Badami will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:30-9 p.m. today.

Mrs. Edwards, 87 years old, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 1990, at her home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1903, at Zadock, daughter of William and Janie Schrader Pry. She first married Charles Gibson, who preceded her in death. She later married Chester Edwards, who died April 16, 1970.

Survivors include five sons, Ben and Robert Gibson of Ocoee, Fla., J.W. Gibson of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Harold Gibson of Murray, Ky., Amos Gibson of St. Louis; five daughters, Mary Bolden of Advance, Sue Robinson of St. Louis, Ethel Garner of Myrtle Creek, Lilly Howell of Apopka, Fla., Shirley Richard of Brownwood; a brother, Prentice Pry of Bloomfield; two sisters, Delpha Goetz of Sikeston, Pearl McCain of Bloomfield; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and two sons.
