Bertha Marie Welter, 88, 615 S. Sprigg, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 5, 1902, at Gordonville, daughter of Kasmir and Mary Fredrick Schwach. She married Adolph D. Welter in 1922 in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 25, 1971.
Welter was employed at International Shoe Co. 23 years, and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include a daughter, Aline Cullen of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Pauline Martin of Chaffee; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
