CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Bertha Elzetta Manriquez of Charleston will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Raymond Brammer will officiate, with burial in Carson Hill Cemetery at Piedmont.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to service time.
Manriquez, 55, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Tipperary, Ark., daughter of Leroy and Virgia Lois Thorslen Maddux. She first married Clarence Roberts, who died July 13, 1980. She later married Ignacio "Nacho" Manriquez.
Manriquez had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of Bible Holiness Church at Diehlstadt.
Survivors include her husband of Rockford, Ill.; four sons, Ricky Maddux of Rockford, John Roberts of Charleston, Marvin Roberts of Kingston, N.Y., Joe Manriquez of East Prairie; a daughter, Evelyn Gonzales of East Prairie; a brother, Frank Stone of Ravenna, Neb.; four sisters, Georgia Coldman of Bragg City, Violet Risley of Phoenix, Ariz., Sally Guidry of Walker, La., Marie Burns of Powersite; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
