BERTHA LINGLE

MCCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral for Bertha F. Lingle of McClure will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, Ill. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Lingle, 95, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born April 4, 1906, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of William R. and Mary E. West Harvell. She and Claud E. Lingle were married March 12, 1933, in Alexander County. He died Aug. 28, 1988.

Lingle was formerly of Anna.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Franklin of McClure; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
