SCOTT CITY -- Bertha Helen Owen, 86, of Scott City, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 11, 1913, at Graysboro, daughter of William and Odellia DeRousse Cassout. She and Francis Edward Owen were married Jan. 5, 1935, in Cairo, Ill.
Owen was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Scott City.
Survivors include two sons, Francis E. Owen of Richland, N.C., and John Owen of Scott City; two daughters, Virginia Cook of Cary, N.C., and Donna Ford of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, a half sister, and a grandchild.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church in Scott City. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
