BERTHA FINLEY

CHAFFEE -- Bertha Louise Finley, 86, of Chaffee, died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 18, 1910, at Perkins, daughter of Martin and Anna Vetter Brucker. She and Richard McCabe Finley were married Nov. 22, 1931. He died March 25, 1970.

Finley was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Daughters of St. Ambrose. She had lived at Chaffee since 1931.

Survivors include a brother, Albert Brucker of Perkins; a sister, Lorena Steele of Dupo, Ill.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, sister and brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
