PERRYVILLE -- Bertha E. Shrum, 91, of Perryville died Sunday, March 8, 1992, at the American Care Center in Perryville.
She was born April 5, 1900, in Bollinger County, the daughter of Louis and Rosetta Barks Lix. On Sept. 19, 1918, she married Ralph Shrum, who preceded her in death July 15, 1990.
Survivors include three sons, Elmer, Ellis and Lester Shrum, all of Sedgewickville; two daughters, Daisy Shrum and Viola Webb, both of Perryville; four sisters, Effie Statler of Perryville, Mary Bollinger of St. Louis, Clara Bollinger of Fredericktown and Pearl Statler of Sedgewickville, nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crossroads Methodist Church in Crossroads. The Rev. Howard Miller and the Rev. Fred Shrum will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
