Bertha Doering

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Bertha S. Doering, 93, of Owensville, Mo., formerly of Altenburg, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Frene Valley South in Owensville.

She was born Aug. 21, 1909, at Altenburg, daughter of Gustave and Mary Pilz Kuntze. She and Hugo Doering were married April 29, 1934.

Doering was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Mudd of St. Peters, Mo., Pauline Fadler of Owensville and Vivian Lueders of St. Charles, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a granddaughter.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. William Zastrow will officiate, with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery.
