ALTENBURG -- Bertha "Betty" S. Kasten, 89, of Altenburg, died Saturday May 28, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1904 at New Wells, the daughter of Wilhelm and Nona Wilson Scholl. On Nov. 22, 1925 she married Richard Kasten, who died on Nov. 13, 1980...

ALTENBURG -- Bertha "Betty" S. Kasten, 89, of Altenburg, died Saturday May 28, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1904 at New Wells, the daughter of Wilhelm and Nona Wilson Scholl. On Nov. 22, 1925 she married Richard Kasten, who died on Nov. 13, 1980.

She is survived by one brother, Walter Scholl of Memphis.

Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg and the senior citizens group in Altenburg.

Visitation will be from 4:30-9 p.m. today at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel, and from 6:30-8 a.m. Monday.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Willard Kassulke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
