BERTHA BAKER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Bertha L. Baker, 72, of Dongola died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born June 1, 1929, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of John Eldridge and Mildred L. Fisher Trexler. She married Thomas J. Baker.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Luci Sampson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Brenda Brown of Jonesboro, Ill., Pat Lovell and Kim Gentry of Dongola, Jan Robertson of Hollister, Fla.; four sons, Mike Baker of Perks, Ill., Jeff, Scott and Brian Baker, all of Dongola; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Bobbie Norton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro, Ill.
