SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Funeral for Fern Berniece Wise of Scott City will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Larry Lawman will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce, Mo.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Wise, 88, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 18, 1912, at Rockview, Mo., daughter of Edward B. and Elizabeth Holmes Totty. She and J.B. "Dick" Wise were married Dec. 6, 1931. He died March 14, 1990.
Wise was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church and Eastern Star Marlem Chapter in Commerce and Commerce Better Community Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Baker and Johnne Griffin of Scott City; a brother, Edward Totty of Collinsville, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and two sisters.
