MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Berniece Christina Warner, 84, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 25, 1923, in Luray, Kan., daughter of James Frederick and Cora Opal Bean Douglas. She and James Frederick Warner were married Dec. 24, 1944. He died March 5, 1996...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Berniece Christina Warner, 84, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 25, 1923, in Luray, Kan., daughter of James Frederick and Cora Opal Bean Douglas. She and James Frederick Warner were married Dec. 24, 1944. He died March 5, 1996.

Warner was an assembly line worker at Florsheim Shoe Co. She was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, James Warner Jr. of Hazelwood, Mo., Edward Warner of Tulsa, Okla., William Warner of Perryville, Mo.; five daughters, Christina Hertensen of Marquand, Mo., Pamela Mouser of Haltom City, Texas, Mary Fulmer of Dover, Fla., Opal Shanks of Jackson, Nancy Huber of Fruitland; a sister, Edna Cowan of McPherson, Kan.; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother and three great-granddaughters.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with the Revs. Jimmie Fulbright and Steven Sander officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Church Cemetery.
