JACKSON -- Bernice Loyd, 71, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Schlatitz, daughter of John and Ethel Shell Collins. JACKSON -- Bernice Loyd, 71, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, at her home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Schlatitz, daughter of John and Ethel Shell Collins. She and Ray Loyd were married Feb. 25, 1939. He died July 20, 1992.

Loyd was an Avon representative more than 20 years, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Loyd of Jackson; a brother, James Collins of Baldwin, Ill.; two sisters, Mildred Newell of Kimberling City, and Ulene Baker of Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Carl Suddeath and Jerry Culberson will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
