PERRYVILLE -- Bernice Besand, 83, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1996, at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born March 24, 1913, in St. Louis, daughter of Hermann and Daisy Tilkameyer. She and Francis Besand were married Feb. 14, 1929, in St. Louis. He died Nov. 7, 1994...

PERRYVILLE -- Bernice Besand, 83, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1996, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 24, 1913, in St. Louis, daughter of Hermann and Daisy Tilkameyer. She and Francis Besand were married Feb. 14, 1929, in St. Louis. He died Nov. 7, 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Norman Besand of Portland, Ore., Gary and Kenneth Besand of Perryville; a daughter, Marilyn Kneebone of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:50 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
