SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Bernice A. "Red" Winchester of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Winchester, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 1994, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born Jan. 8, 1909, near Sikeston, son of Jim and Effie B. Hinkel Winchester. He and Lucille Jones were married July 29, 1932. She died Jan. 18, 1983.

Winchester was a retired carpenter and bricklayer.

Survivors include a brother, Walter Winchester of Bay City, Mich.; four sisters, Lucill Alexander of New Madrid, Beulah Driskill of Grandin, Chril Reynolds of Morehouse, and Evelyn Howard of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
