CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Venta Berneice Davis, 80, of Chaffee passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 6, 1935, in Conran, Missouri, to the late Robert E. and Alice Garrison Curtis Sr. Berneice married Harley Eugene "Pete" Davis on Nov. 7, 1952, and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2001.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.
Berneice was a retired cafeteria manager for the Jackson School District.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie (Billie) Davis of Chaffee; a grandson, Davey (Misty) Davis of Glenallen, Missouri; two great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter; three brothers, Robert (June) Curtis of Dexter, Missouri, Claude (Lavetta) Curtis of Chaffee and Charlie (Jeannie) Curtis of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois; and two sisters, Virginia Ash of Puxico, Missouri, and Janeth (Lindy) Moss of San Antonio.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Lynn Ash. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
