ADVANCE, Mo. -- Bernece Whitehead, 84, of Advance passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Advance, the daughter of Charles and Lena Croy Revelle.
Bernece had been a homemaker and a bookkeeper for WW Transport Co. in Advance. She attended Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance.
Bernece and Harold "Bill" Whitehead were united in marriage April 30, 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2010.
Survivors include a son, Keith (Mary) Whitehead of Charleston, Missouri; a daughter, Linda (Danny White) Slinkard of Advance; two sisters, Louise Long and Lois Vavak, both of Advance; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
