Bernard Duane "Bugs" Boldrey, 72, 2825 Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1922, in Pontiac, Ill., son of Vernon Othal and Sarah A. Branz Boldrey. He and Leila Edler were married Nov. 22, 1945, in Chester, Ill.
Boldrey was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1940-61, retiring as a major. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was employed by the Missouri Employment Security Office 21 years. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 63, and Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gregory Boldrey of Sikeston; two brothers, Vernon Boldrey of Chicago, Jack Boldrey of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Bessie Scott of Pontiac, Ill., Waunita Levitt of Benson, Ariz., Alice Kristick of Streator, Ill., and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 6-7 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Louis Launhardt officiating.
