LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Bernard Joseph Beussink, 90, of Leopold, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at the family home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Leopold, son of John and Mary Landewee Beussink. He and Bertha Adelhid Jansen were married Oct. 6, 1937. She died Nov. 22, 1999.
Beussink worked as a carpenter for Lowes Construction Co. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold and the Legion of Mary Auxiliary. He was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5898 in Leopold.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Beussink of Carbondale, Ill., and Ralph Beussink of Leopold; four daughters, Angela Carlisle and Jenny Nenninger, both of Leopold, Geri Geringer of Bloomington, Ind., and Debra Eudy of Cape Girardeau; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two daughters, five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 6 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Huggins will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
