Bernadette V. "Bun" Vodra Hoffman, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 11, 1919, in Aurora, Neb., daughter of Lewis and Violet Karr Vodra. She and Robert Hoffman were married May 25, 1968, in Memphis, Tenn.
Mrs. Hoffman was a stewardess for United Airlines, and had been an office manager for an orthodontist in Memphis. She was a member of Cape Bible Chapel and active in its flower ministry, member of Town and Country Garden Club, Southeast Hospital Auxiliary, and Community Concert Association.
She attended the University of Nebraska. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1968 from Memphis.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Loeffel and wife Marilyn of Cordova, Tenn.; a brother, Challis Vodra of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren, Ginger Comstock of Memphis, Robin and Cossette Loeffel of Cordova; and a great-grandchild, Reid Comstock of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Douglas Loeffel.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cape Bible Chapel. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
