Bernadette Drury, 87, 2216 Brookwood, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1908, in Ancell, daughter of Joseph and Alvina Welter Burger. She and Monroe Drury were married June 17, 1930, at Kelso. He died March 12, 1984.
Drury had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1935. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Cathedral Women, Legion of Mary, Senior Citizens, and had worked in the Teen Challenge Thrift Shop.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Drury of Cape Girardeau, Roy Drury of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Ralph Burger of Scott City, James Burger of Redding, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Gibbs of Scott City; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7 and KC rosary at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
