PATTON, Mo. -- Bennie Lee Klein Sr., 75, of Patton passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Inman, South Carolina.
He was born Nov. 21, 1938, at Marble Hill, Missouri, son of Harry Herman and Elsie Isabel Newell Klein. He was the loving husband of Barbara Jean Farrow Klein.
Bennie was a member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church in Patton. He was owner/operator of Klein and Son Nursery, Klein Enterprises and Triple B Underground.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ben Jr. "Butch" Klein and wife Vickie of Inman and John Klein and wife Anne of St. Louis; a sister, Mildred Kiefer of Sedgewickville, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Harry and Samantha Klein.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leslie Klein.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donnie Ford officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
