Benjamin Birkland Grim, 35, of Parker, Colo., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, in Elbert County, Colo.
He was born Dec. 22, 1965, in Fairfax, Va., son of Morton and Esther Birkland Grim. He and Cynthia Nenninger were married Dec. 29, 1990, at Perryville, Mo.
Grim was a graduate of Central High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and received an associate's degree from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Science in 1993. He was an artist and salesman.
Grim was in the U.S. Navy from 1986-90, and served aboard the USS America.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kelsey Grim of Parker; a son, Nathan Grim of Parker; his father and stepmother, Morton and Bonnie Grim of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Jerry Grim of Cape Girardeau, Jonathan Grim of St. Louis; and a sister, Sandra Boulanger of Anaheim, Calif.
Graveside service was held Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, with the All Veterans Honor Guard officiating.
Parker Funeral Home in Parker was in charge of arrangements.
