Benjamin Justin Baker, 34, of St. Peters, Mo., passed away Thursday June 16, 2011. He was born May 16, 1977, in Cape Girardeau, son of Richard William and Judy Glastetter Baker. Ben graduated from Jackson High School and received his degree from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. He was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church of Jackson. He lived and worked in the St. Louis area as a computer engineer. He was fortunate to have found many good friends who will greatly miss him...

Benjamin Justin Baker, 34, of St. Peters, Mo., passed away Thursday June 16, 2011.

He was born May 16, 1977, in Cape Girardeau, son of Richard William and Judy Glastetter Baker.

Ben graduated from Jackson High School and received his degree from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. He was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church of Jackson. He lived and worked in the St. Louis area as a computer engineer. He was fortunate to have found many good friends who will greatly miss him.

Ben is survived by his parents, Richard and Judy of Jackson; his beloved brothers, Mark Richard (Kim) Baker of Jackson, and their children, Austin, Victoria and Ryan; and his dear little brother, Anthony Garett Baker of Tanzania, Africa; his grandmothers, Joyce Baker of Jackson and Shirley Glastetter of Chaffee, Mo.; caring uncles and aunts, Clyde J. Glastetter (Nancy Kelley) of Cape Girardeau, Nancy (Art) Miller of Whitewater, Kenny (Lori) Glastetter and Ted (Theresa) Glastetter, both of Chaffee; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clyde R. Glastetter of Chaffee, and Dwight L. Baker of Jackson.

Services will be private.

Ben requested that his final resting place be on the family farm where he spent so many summers with his brother Tony and cousins Matt and Sam.

Arrangements were handled by Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home of Jackson.
