JACKSON -- Benjamin Arthur King Sr., 82, of Heritage Gardens in Jackson, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997.
He was born April 13, 1915, in Rule, Ark., son of Charles and Molly Simpson King. He and Beulah V. Lynch were married May 13, 1949, in Arkansas.
He was the owner and operator of King Automotive in Jackson for over 25 years and worked for the Missouri Barge Line for over 10 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, of Cape Girardeau; four sons, George King of Springfield, Floyd King of Cape Girardeau, Benny King of Jackson and Michael King of Kansas City; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Julius Mills officiating.
