Benjamin Theodore Reiminger, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 27, 1913, at Randles, son of Anton J. and Corena Mier Reiminger. He and Geri Statler were married Aug. 15, 1961, at Cape Girardeau.
Reiminger was a farmer who had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1961. He was named Missouri Older Worker of the Year, was known as "the Biscuit Engineer," was an avid exercise enthusiast who was highlighted in a St. Francis fitness publication and was a fan of Southeast Missouri State University gymnastics. Reiminger was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and was a server and lector there.
Survivors include his wife; son, Michael Houseman of Santa Fe, N.M.; two daughters, Kandee Reiminger Metje of Cape Girardeau and Terri Chriss of Millersville; a sister, Marcella Pobst of Chaffee, Mo.; a brother, Raymond Reiminger of Jackson; five grandchildren, Kim Lunsford, Rob Keller, Jessica Houseman, Katelyn Metje and Kris Metje; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sonny Houseman; a brother, Theon Reiminger; and a sister, Eva Reiminger.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by parish rosary.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Cathedral. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
