BENTON, Mo. -- Ben Hennemann, 88, of Benton died Monday, March 18, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 14, 1913, at Schalls, Mo., son of Theodore and Mary Balsman Hennemann. He and Luvina Winkler were married Nov. 24, 1936. She died May 14, 2000.
Hennemann had been a carpenter with Harold Bollinger Construction, and was the custodian at Scott County Court House from 1970-88. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, St. Joseph Men's Sodality and Senior Citizens.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Hennemann of Cape Girardeau, Ralph and Alan Hennemann of Benton, Donnie Hennemann of Kelso, Mo.; four daughters, JoAnn Schott of Oran, Mo., Yvonne McVay of Jackson, Mo., Jeannie Fodge and Geri Hennemann of Benton; a brother, Melvin Hennemann of Menfro, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Denis Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
