BEN E. BRANDES

PERRYVILLE -- Ben E. Brandes, 88, of Perryville, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 28, 1905, in Uniontown, son of Benjamin and Katherina Schumacher Brandes. He and Nora Vogel were married Feb. 10, 1945.

Brandes was a retired farmer. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, its Lutheran Laymens League and Dart Ball League.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell Brandes of Perryville; a daughter, Jane Myers of Perryville; a brother, Otto Brandes of Jackson; two sisters, Lillian Lueders of St. Louis, Viola Dunwell of Gainesville, and five granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel from 5-9 p.m. today, and on Saturday from 6:30-11 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
