Ben A. Bullard, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Chateau Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ben H. and Goldie Townsend Bullard.
Ben loved his family and loved spending time with Darren, his son, as well as his grandchildren and his special buddy, Kynlee, his great-granddaughter.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He would spend what time he could either fishing or hunting.
Ben worked at Tri-Con and Ralph Edwards before becoming a "people greeter" at Sam's Club.
His love of music was evident to those who knew him. He loved gospel, country and especially Elvis. Ben was a huge Cubs baseball fan and loved it when the Cubs and Cardinals would play, especially when the Cubs would win.
Loving survivors include his son, Darren (Donna) Bullard of Marble Hill, Missouri, and a sister, Joyce (Sonny) Deimund of Cape Girardeau. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jessica Kuntze, Blake Bullard, Jordan Kuntze and Shane Bullard, and a great-grandchild, Kynlee Kuntze.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Ruth Bodkin, Glenda Abbott and Mary Standridge.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Burns officiating.
Interment will follow in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
