Beatrice May Proffer, 82, of Scott City died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at her home.

She was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Scott City to Benjamin and Olivia Scherer LeDure. She married Aaron Edgar Proffer on July 19, 1975.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron Proffer of Scott City; very special friends, Bradley and Sandy Ressel of Scott City; sisters, Arvella Robert of Kelso, Missouri, and Norma Holder of Scott City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister, Virgie Brant.

Private family services were held. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
