BEATRICE G. SMITH

Funeral service for Beatrice G. Smith of New Madrid will be held at 2 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Rev. Mike Swalina will officiate, with burial in Mounds Cemetery at Lilbourn.

Smith, 87, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 26, 1908, in Metropolis, Ill., daughter of A.J. and Nan Jeanette Jones Grace. She married Edward Chesley Smith, who died June 2, 1977.

Smith had been a coordinator with DAEOC, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Latimer of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
