OLMSTEAD, Ill. -- Barney W. Rogers, 84, of Olmstead died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Golconda, the son of Charles and Grace Trail Rogers.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union in Metropolis.
He belonged to the First Baptist Church in Olmstead.
Survivors are his wife, Doris Shelton Rogers of Olmstead; four sons, William R. Rogers of Cairo, Clarence Eugene Rogers of Centralia, Kenneth W. Rogers of O'Fallon, Mo., and Jeffery Rogers of Fenton, Mo.; a daughter, Deloris Morgan of Cairo; three brothers, Henry Rogers of Olmstead, Cliff Rogers of Jackson, Mich., and Rodney Rogers of Florida; a sister, Dorothy Baynes of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
