Barney Zeno Baudendistel, 80, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at Missouri Veterans Home. He was born Jan. 9, 1921, at Oran, Mo., son of Barney and Celestine Heisserer Baudendistel. Baudendistel was owner and operator of B.Z. Tile Co. of St. Louis. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars...

Barney Zeno Baudendistel, 80, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born Jan. 9, 1921, at Oran, Mo., son of Barney and Celestine Heisserer Baudendistel.

Baudendistel was owner and operator of B.Z. Tile Co. of St. Louis. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He served with the U.S. Navy in the Asian Theater during World War II in the South China Sea.

Survivors include a sister, Lorena Propst of Cape Girardeau; numerous nieces and nephews; a great-niece, Shirley Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; and a great- nephew, Danny Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by a close friend, Adeline Mueller, and seven sisters.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 1 to 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be said at 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks at St. Louis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
