Barbara Stewart

Barbara J. Stewart, 72, of Lebanon, Ind., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at her home.

She was born May 22, 1940, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of C.L. and Kathryn Dillard. She and Zollie R. Stewart were married Dec. 22, 1956, in Corinth, Miss.

Barbara was a beautician and a CNA at the Lutheran Home. She also worked as a CNA and homemaker for VNA, and worked private duty, as well. She attended Traders Point Christian Church in Lebanon, and while residing in Missouri attended Cape First.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Janet) Stewart of Cape Girardeau and Leslie (Kelli) Stewart of Jackson; two daughters, LaDonna (Doug) Imparato of Lebanon and Lisa (Phil) Soares of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a daughter.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society of Boone County or Traders Point Christian Church.
