Barbara Simon

Barbara I. Kaufmann Simon, 97, died Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence T. Simon; dear mother of Larry (Carol) Simon and Karen Jones; dear grandmother of Gary Jones, Nick Simon and Laura Simon; loving sister of Frank Kaufmann and the late John, Anton and Charlie Kaufmann; and the dear sister-in-law of Evelyn Kaufmann.

After eighth grade, Barbara worked and helped support her family. She was a very independent person who loved to grow vegetables in her own garden.

Visitation on will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the chapel of Hoffmeiser South County Chapel at 1515 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis.

The funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday at the chapel. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers expressions of sympathy in Barbara's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
